Scripting
Director go over the screenplay with the writer and think about how he wants to tell the story visually. give feedback to writer on screenplay
Team Selection
Director work with the writer on the screenplay and choose the crew
Casting
Picking actors for roles. discuss the story and motivation of the characters.
Music
Director works with music director and other team for soundtrack, background music..
Scheduleing
Director create a production schedule and final checklist for production, just to make sure all is ready.
Location
Director work with cinematographer to think about location possibilities.
Costume/Makeup/Hair and Props
Make a list. what kind of costume and makeup would best convey each character in each scene. Start to look for neccessary clothing, makeup and props.
Shooting
Light... Camera... Action!

Background Music
Director choose the background music for the play. Adding Music and sound effects that will help give the play more impact. directors make sure the sound levels are consistent throughout.
Graphics & Animation
Director, art director and graphic designers work together for graphics and animations.
Editing
Director work with the editor for the final cut. or editor will create a rough cut on his own and show it to the director. Then they begin putting the finishing touches on the play.
